Sea Turtle Guardian
Protecting the Ocean’s Gentle Giants
At Sea Turtle Guardian Inc., we are dedicated to the protection and preservation of endangered sea turtles and their habitats. As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to combat the threats these ancient creatures face and ensure their survival for generations to come.
For millions of years, sea turtles have played a crucial role in maintaining the health of marine ecosystems. However, human activities such as poaching, plastic pollution, habitat destruction, and accidental capture in fishing gear (bycatch) have pushed their populations to the brink of extinction. Without immediate action, these iconic species could disappear from our oceans forever.
Our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a world where sea turtles thrive in safe, clean, and protected environments. Through conservation efforts, community engagement, and advocacy, we work tirelessly to rescue injured turtles, protect nesting beaches, and educate the public about the importance of marine conservation.
Every turtle saved, every beach cleaned, and every law strengthened brings us closer to a future where sea turtles are no longer endangered. But we can’t do it alone. With your support, we can restore balance to our oceans and give these magnificent creatures a fighting chance.

Why Sea Turtles Need Your Help
Poaching & Illegal Trade
Over 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean annually, and sea turtles mistake plastic bags for jellyfish, their natural prey. Ingesting plastic can cause fatal blockages, internal injuries, or starvation.
Plastic Pollution & Ocean Waste
Over 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean annually, and sea turtles mistake plastic bags for jellyfish, their natural prey. Ingesting plastic can cause fatal blockages, internal injuries, or starvation.
Bycatch & Accidental Capture
Thousands of sea turtles die every year after getting caught in fishing nets, longlines, and shrimp trawls. Unable to escape, they drown or suffer severe injuries, making bycatch one of the leading causes of turtle deaths.
Habitat Destruction
Coastal development, pollution, and climate change are destroying nesting beaches. Artificial lighting near shores confuses hatchlings, leading them away from the ocean and reducing survival rates.
Climate Change
Rising temperatures impact sea turtle reproduction, as warmer sand produces more females, disrupting population balance. Additionally, rising sea levels threaten nesting sites, putting future generations at risk.
Ocean Acidification
Increased carbon emissions cause ocean acidification, weakening coral reefs, a key feeding ground for species like the green sea turtle. A disrupted food chain makes survival even more challenging.
Voices of Impact
"Volunteering with Sea Turtle Guardian has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve helped rescue and release turtles, and it's incredible to witness the direct impact we’re making in safe place."
